UCD AgSoc, a charitable organisation run by agricultural science students and auditor TJ Duffy, has raised a total of €42,000 during the college year, a record for the society.

Money was raised through numerous fundraisers, including events in Dublin city, Ag Week, a charity auction and the raffling of a pedigree Angus heifer.

This year the committee has chosen to donate €32,000 to Console, the national Suicide prevention charity of Ireland, with a further €5,000 each being donated to East Clare Saint Vincent de Paul and Cardiac Arrest in the Young (CRY) in honour of students who have lost their lives during their time in UCD Agricultural Science.
