All eligible farmers who applied to GLAS III will be accepted into the scheme. Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed confirmed this to the Irish Farmers Journal on Wednesday.

“The level of interest in this unique scheme is encouraging and reflects Government’s continued commitment to the RDP and environmental protection,” he said.
Of the 13,964 who applied to GLAS III, 7,021 are in tier 1, 6,106 are in tier 2 and 837 are in tier 3.
Meanwhile, the Department is confident of making outstanding payments to the 10,000 farmers in GLAS I and II within a couple of weeks.
