The highest price paid was by Italian processor Granarolo at 36.93c/l.
Finland-based Valio paid 35.21c/l, while Friesland Campina, the Dutch dairy giant, paid 30.8c/l.
Denmark’s Arla paid 28.28c/l.
The US paid a class III price of 33.99c/l. Fonterra, which had paid a poor price in 2015, paid 28.02c/l last year and was above the price paid by the largest Irish processors.
Kerry paid 24.84c/l, while Dairygold paid 24.63c/l, with Glanbia paying 22.99c/l.
