Using the 1c/litre support from Ornua funds, Arrabawn will hold its May milk price at 22.51c/l excluding VAT at 3.6% fat and 3.3% protein.

Dairygold has confirmed that it will also hold its May base milk price of 21.31c/l excluding VAT. This does not include the 0.5c/l quality bonus.

Carbery Group

Meanwhile, Barryroe and Bandon have decided to implement the Carbery milk price cut of 0.5c/l for May. Barryroe Co-op’s milk price now stands at 23.25c/l, while Bandon Co-op is offering its suppliers 23.24c/l, bothe expressed excluding VAT and at 3.6% fat and 3.3% protein as in the monthly Irish Farmers Jorunal milk league.

In the face of the Carbery cut, Drinagh Co-op and Lisavaird Co-op have both decided to hold their May milk price of 23.73c/l for dairy farmers.
