The majority of Irish processors posted an increase in August supply relative to the same month in 2015. Most were up by between 2% and 6% for the month, depending on the processor.
The Irish Farmers Journal survey shows that of the big players, Glanbia was up 2%, Arrabawn up 2%, Lakeland up 1%, while the west Cork co-ops were up between 3% and 6%.
Aurivo collected supplies at almost the very same level as August 2015. Two co-ops recorded lower supplies for August 2016 compared 12 months previously: Kerry and LacPatrick. Kerry were down 2.5% for the month, while LacPatrick were down 5%.
Year-to-date, most processors are running ahead of last year by between 1% and 6%. Kerry, while behind for August, is still 0.5% ahead for milk supply year to date.
