Calving and Lambing 2017 is well under way

Gearoid O’Sullivan from west Cork sent us this photo of his two little farmers Fia and Siun helping with lambing.

James Thompson from Carlow sent us this photo of a first-time Hereford mother tending to her newborn calf.

Sean Casey sent us this photo of his son Jonah feeding the first calf of the season. Sean loves reading the Irish Farmers Journal with his grandfather Paddy.

Three-year-old Dylan Williams from Gorey, Co Wexford, is pictured with Daphne, Davy and Dessie, the first ever set of Montbeliarde pure-bred triplets born on their farm.

Elaine Shaw goes the extra mile with some of the lambs born on her farm.

Dylan Leonard from Donegal sent us this photo of one of his ewes who lambed with five healthy lambs. All lambs survived and were fostered on to other ewes.
