Carbery Group, based in west Cork, has increased milk price for February by 1.5c/l. It is now up to the four co-ops within Carbery (Lisavaird, Drinagh, Barryroe and Bandon) to decide whether they wish to follow suit.
Last month, Carbery held its January milk price, with both Drinagh and Lisavaird following suit.
Co-ops are now starting to set milk prices for last month’s supplies. Earlier this Monday, Lakeland held its milk price at 29.7c/l excluding VAT for February supplies.
The board of Glanbia also met on Monday and has decided to keep February milk price unchanged.
