A Carbery board member confirmed to the Irish Farmers Journal that a small fire broke out in the alcohol distillation plant shortly before 5pm on Sunday afternoon.
Units from the Bandon and Dunmanway fire service attended and dealt with the fire. Nobody was injured as a result of the fire. Carbery management will assess the damage done to the plant and how they might need to alter production at the site.
