Torrential rain has caused flash flooding in the north and northwest of the country, with Met Eireann reporting almost two inches of rain in just a few hours in some areas.
Flash floods are reported in Co Donegal, while the river Faghan has burst its banks in Co Derry.
Some 55mm of rain fell in a single thunderstorm at Malin Head this evening, with heavy rain set to continue for some time.

Met Eireann has issued a status orange warning for thunder which remains in place until 11pm on Monday.
Earlier on Monday, it issued a status yellow warning for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.
The PSNI has warned drivers about hazardous driving conditions due to heavy rain and flooding.
In Ulster, the rain will remain heavy and thundery for a time but clear eastwards overnight.
