Good morning. In the news today: a week of changeable weather lies ahead, improvement in the calving interval of the national dairy herd and ploughing site closed temporarily due to traffic chaos.

A good deal of dry, if rather cloudy weather for today, Tuesday, but some bright or sunny spells too, best in eastern areas, where winds will be slack. But there will be some drizzle at times in Atlantic coastal counties, in a strengthening southerly breeze. Top temperatures of 15 to 17 C.
Enrolments in the Teagasc level five and six plus the Teagasc-linked higher education courses in agriculture, horticulture, equine and forestry for this academic year are down 5% on last year.
