DEAR SIR: Each week my parents buy the Irish Farmers Journal, and every weekend when I come home from school I have a look through it.

I generally enjoy the publication, but there is just one point I’d like to raise with you.

From my observations, the front cover picture/heading always has a negative slant eg “Poor beef prices” or “Bad weather in the west”, etc.

I appreciate bad news sells papers, but I believe farmers are an optimistic bunch and always look on the bright side of life.

Maybe you could consider something more positive for future front pages?
