Kubota M5111

This is Kubota’s latest entrant into the mid-sized tractor market. It was launched in October 2016. This was one of the first sightings of it on Irish soil. The M5111 comes with Kubota’s 4 cylinder 113 HP tier 4 compliant engine. This model is aimed at the medium-sized operator who needs a powerful tidy tractor to undertake tasks ranging from loader work to mowing. Prices for the model shown are from €49,500 plus VAT.

Pöttinger 3-metre drill and power harrow combination

This combination has all the high-end specifications you would expect for a price tag of €42,350 plus VAT.

The power harrow is the PÖttinger Lion 3002 which is a heavy-duty machine capable of working with tractors up to 250hp. The mounted drill is the new-generation Aerosem 3002 ADD featuring electric metering, GPS forward speed system and load-sensing hydraulic fan to ensure correct seeding rates.

Double disc coulters with press wheels, hydraulic coulter pressure (up to 50kg) and the PÖttinger Prisim roller all combine to enable excellent seed coverage and ground consolidation.

Claydon Hybrid T4

New to the Irish market, the Claydon Hybrid t4, has many interesting features. It can be ungraded to a larger working width with only the addition of bolt-on parts. The combination seed and fertiliser hopper is split 60/40 and is also fed with a hot air supply taken from the hydraulic system. This is to keep moisture from the fertiliser and seed to help prevent blockages.

In order to keep an eye on these systems, the drill comes with six lights and four cameras as standard. The list price of the machine pictured is €100,000 plus VAT.

Avant 635

The Avant 635 mini loader fitted with an auger hole borer was on the Pat O’Donnell & Co stand at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show.

These machines are manufactured in Finland and are aimed at the construction and property maintenance sectors. The Avant 635 is the middle of the 600 range. Powered by a Kubota V1505 engine giving out 37.5hp, it also boasts a lift capacity of 1.1t and a lift height of 2.8m. The attachment is one of many available for these machines ranging from the hole borer shown to hydraulic road sweepers. The list price of the Avant 635 is €38,000 plus VAT.
