A survey carried out by the Irish Farmers Journal puts green diesel at an average price of between 65c/litre and 68c/l for orders of 1,000l (including VAT).
Prices are up 1c to 2c since February of this year. Prices varied based on the quantity purchased and the location.
Larger orders tended to secure a discount of 1.5% to 2.5% per litre in most places.
Prices at this time last year were in the region of 50c/l to 55c/l.
Prices at the pumps for small volumes are typically a few cents higher.
Meanwhile, demand for kerosene is easing in light of rising temperatures.
