Grain prices have weakened over the past week, as harvest pressure and currency affect current prices.

Glanbia’s green barley quote of €131/t on Monday was down €4/t on the €135/t a few days earlier. By midweek, another of the co-ops was down to €125/t for green barley. The €140/t suggested in recent weeks for green barley is certainly gone for now.

Dry spot barley is ranging from €155/t to €165/t out to November, with spot wheat around €180/t.

The November wheat price is in the €175/t to €180/t bracket.
