Meanwhile, weanling rations are ranging from €250/t to €275/t for bulk deliveries with bags of weanling rations making as much as €300/t.
Overall, merchants and co-ops are reporting a surge in feed sales with one merchant telling the Irish Farmers Journal that sales have increased by as much as 20% on the same time last year.
