Weanling calves still at grass will need to be getting meal now to keep them ticking along at 0.7kg liveweight gain per day.
At this stage, they should be 40% of their mature liveweight or 220kg if they should be 550kg as adult cows.
You won’t know what weight they are unless you weigh them, either over a scales or with a weigh band.
Take out the lighter heifers and feed them separately, give them extra meal and better quality grass, or silage if they are inside.
How much meal to feed the on-target ones depends on the quality of the forage, but generally speaking they would want 2kg/head/day even if they are on target.
