After closing for Christmas, Swatragh Mart reopened its doors on Saturday last, holding its usual weekly sheep sale.
A big offering of over 700 sheep were forwarded for sale and met with brisk bidding from a good turnout of buyers.
Fat lambs sold beyond £90 on several occasions, with the trade peaking at £94 for a pen of 26 lambs weighing 25kg.
Other noted prices saw top-quality heavy fleshed lambs selling to £93.20 for 26kg, with £92 paid for lambs weighing 26kg, 25.5kg and 25kg.
A pen of lambs weighing 31kg sold to £91.50, with 27kg lambs making £90.
Other pens of heavy lambs weighing 26kg sold from £90 to £91.20, with 25kg lots making £91 back to £90 on numerous occasions.
Lighter lambs weighing 22kg to 23kg made £88 to £89.80 per head. Fat ewes sold to a top price of £144, with fat rams making as far as £90.
