Drought or drought-like conditions are set to continue for the coming week, according to Met Éireann.
The weather forecaster has issued a nationwide status yellow drought weather warning which will be in effect from 10am today until Friday, 6 July.

Farmers across the country are feeling the effect of the heat, with a large number of crops suffering and concerns over heat stress in livestock.
Pallaskenry Agricultural College reported that cattle were averaging a daily intake of 128l of water in the dry conditions.

Irish Water has provided additional water supplies to farmers in certain areas of Longford as maintenance works continue to affect water supply to the area.
Fire warning
A condition red forest fire warning also remains in place, and members of the public have been asked not to light BBQs in forested areas.
Forest fires have broken out in Cork and Dublin during the dry period, with the Air Corps called in to collect water from lakes to help subdue forest fires.
