The salary range for veterinary inspectors is €56,516 to €90,683.
Minister Creed made the statement in response to a parliamentary question from Thomas Broughan.
The Government announced in July that it was preparing to hire about 1,000 customs and veterinary inspectors for the country's ports and airports should a no-deal Brexit happen.
