The success of the inaugural Dairy Day last year has seen exhibitors return again this year with over 50 confirmed so far.

Farmers will have a chance to meet them all on the day and can look forward to hearing from numerous stakeholders in the dairy industry on 20 November in Puchestown event centre.

The Skills Hub is set to return. Last year, farmers heard about best milking practise, managing labour and expansion as part of a partnership.

This year, farmers will have the chance to learn about stretching fodder and managing tight cashflows.

With 95% of dairy herds registered under the quality assurance scheme, Tara McCarthy spoke last year saying how it was important the inspections backed-up the Orgin Green story.

Farmers also heard of lessons from the New Zealand, Dutch and Brazilian dairy sectors.

Since last year, the popularity of dairy-free diets have continued to grow in some parts of society.

Zoe Kavanagh said then it was important those in the dairy industry started “shutting down the bullshit”.
