At the most northern point of Ireland, sheep production dominates the Co Donegal landscape. Land type makes grazing a challenge. But in the right hands, the same land can be extremely productive, supporting high stocking rates and output per hectare. Just outside Malin Head, Tommy Mullin runs a large-scale sheep enterprise that uses lowland breeding on a grass-based finishing system. It is an impressive operation with performance figures that most farmers would be envious of.
