Jake Carter – 19 April: Fresh off the back of what has been a roller coaster 18 months, Jake Carter is returning to the Theatre Royal, Waterford on Friday 19 April. The Dancing with the Stars 2018 winner has enjoyed enormous success in recent times with his recent single releases, as well as packing out venues across the country including Dublin’s Vicar St and Cork Opera House. The 20-year-old singing sensation is delighted to be getting back on stage with his live band in what promises to be a fun-filled live concert.

The Whistlin’ Donkeys – 12 April: With an ever growing fan base and after a busy schedule over the past number of years, The Whistln’ Donkeys are entertaining crowds up and down the country with their 32-county tour. Touring every inch of Ireland, this Irish folk band play a unique blend of folk and traditional Irish music with a bit of Celtic rock thrown in there also. The band hail from Co Tyrone and are sure to bring excitement, energy and good craic to their gig in Hotel Kilkenny this Friday 12 April.

Martin Angolo and Keith Fox – 19 April: Two of the country’s best up-and-coming comedians Martin Angolo and Keith Fox host a night of stand-up comedy at Kavanagh’s Bar and Venue, Portlaoise, next Friday 19 April. Fresh from playing in front of full houses at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the pair bring their new show on tour in Ireland for the first time. An award-winning comedian, Angolo is best remembered for his one liners and silly observations and is a regular at every comedy festival in Ireland. His partner in crime Keith Fox is a charming and energetic performer.

Out of Innocence – 12 April: Directed by Danny Hiller, Out of Innocence is based on the infamous Kerry babies scandal of 1984. In it, a Garda investigation leads to the wrongful arrest of a young woman, Joanna Hayes, for the murders of two babies. A newborn baby’s body is washed up on a deserted beach, sparking a discovery that shocks and stuns a rural community. On the same night 80km away, a young mother gives birth to a stillborn baby. Set in a time of disharmony for women in Ireland, Out of Innocence tells of a case which rocked the nation and has repercussions to this day.

Trad – 11-13 April: Mark Doherty’s award-winning Trad tells the hilarious story of 100-year-old main character Thomas and his father. Together they set out to discover the son they never knew he had. Featuring live traditional Irish music, Trad is a side-splitting, heart-warming saga, directed by renowned actor Aaron Monaghan.
