Dairygold has cut its milk price by 0.5c/l for April. Suppliers will receive 29.12c/l excluding VAT based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat. This price is inclusive of 0.61c/l quality and sustainability bonuses.

The co-op said the price cut it "necessary to reflect dairy market returns".
In a statement the board of Dairygold said: "While milk supply in Ireland and the UK is very strong, market demand is sluggish particularly in a European context. The board will continue to monitor the position on a monthly basis."
Glanbia and Lakeland announced on Monday this week that they would be holding milk price for April. Kerry announced a price cut on Thursday.
