Unless there is a serious weather event here or in the southern hemisphere, dairy markets look set to remain flat until year end, Colin Kelly, head of strategy planning and risk management at Ornua, has said. He told the Irish Farmers Journal that unless there is such an event “you’d be inclined to think we’ll have the status quo” to year end.“The interesting thing about dairy markets at the moment is how flat they are. In general, you’d say over the last number of years there’s been a lot of volatility, so you’d be inclined to think they can’t be that flat,” he said.
