At the age of 81, Larry Goodman has been at the helm of the Goodman empire through all the ups and downs. But the question will inevitably turn to who will continue the legacy as one of Europe’s largest beef processors into the next generation.
Although he may have started in the beef trade a large chunk of companies connected to Goodman now focus on property and development while he also has significant interests in healthcare. In total, he is director in over 100 companies including C&D Foods Unlimited company and ABP Food Group.
But there have been many people behind Goodman down through the years which have been key to his businesses and given their experience and expertise.
With two sons managing a number of the family’s businesses, it looks like the Goodman name will continue in farming and Irish business circles for many years to come.

The Louth-based 38-year-old’s company interests now range from cheese making and real estate to financial intermediation. He is registered as a director in 40 companies in Ireland and is a director of a number of Goodman’s key financial companies.
