Met Éireann has issued a yellow rain warning for Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.
The warning will come into effect on Friday 30 August and remain in place for a 24-hour period.
Heavy and persistent rain is expected overnight, with a risk of localised flooding.
"Rainfall totals of 30mm to 50mm are expected during the period, higher in mountainous areas," according to Met Éireann.
