The Limerick lady says she’s looking forward to her time at this year’s Ploughing in Carlow and meeting some of the 80,000-strong crowd expected to arrive on Tuesday.
Early start
Queues of up to 300 people were waiting at the gates to get in ahead of the 8am opening time.
Some of the first people through the gates were father and daughter Tommy and Sinéad Connolly.

They made the long journey from Skibbereen, Co Cork, to be first in.
