The National Ploughing Association announced that some 102,500 people attended day one of the event, an increase of 5,000 on day one in 2018.

Although day two attendance has not yet been confirmed, there appears to be significant crowds in attendance once again.

Those attending both day one and day two of this year's Ploughing have basked in sunshine. More good weather is forecast for tomorrow, Thursday, the final day of the event.

The Ploughing is a big shop window for Ireland's machinery importers and manufacturers. Below, we have attached some snapshots from our ‘eye in the sky’ of the machinery at the event.

Smyth trailers had a four-axle 32ft Supercube silage trailer on display that is destined for New Mexico.

Abbey launched a new multi-stage arm for its slurry tanker range.

Atkins Farm Machinery showcased a range of Pottinger, Bredal and Bogballe equipment.

Keltec displayed a new front-mounted conditioner mower.

McHale Plant Sales were showcasing Komatsu and Merlo.

Cross showcased a new dribble bar.

Farmhand demonstrated the Big M 450 perched atop a 3.5m high platform.

Adare Farm Machinery displayed the Doosan DL280-5 Agri wheeled loader for the first time at the Ploughing.

The Turkish-built Basak tractor range made its western European debut at the Ploughing this week.

McCarthy Plant and Agri had a range of Venieri loaders and telehandlers on display.
