January 2019: Strip-grazing at Tullamore Farm. Weanling heifers were wintered on redstart for winter 2018/2019. Heifers gained 0.7kg/day during winter. \ Philip Doyle

January 2019. At The Farmers Journal beef health masterclass farm walk and talk were Donal Lynch and Shaun Diver. \ Patrick Browne

Febuary 2019: Calving kicked off on 6 February with 86 cows calving over 11 weeks. This Simmental heifer calf sired by Dereen Declan has the makings of an excellent replacement.

March 2019: Justin McCarthy addressing students at the AgriAware walk and talk. \ Philip Doyle

May 2019: Cows and calves grazing on Tullamore Farm. Breeding starts in May each year with AI completed for nine weeks before a stock bull is released for two weeks to mop up. \ Phill Doyle

June 2019: Cows and calves being brought in for weighing in June ahead of the Tullamore Farm open day. \ Philip Doyle

July 2019: Huge crowds attended the open day.

June 2019: All male animals on the farm are finished as under 16-month bull beef. This March 2018-born bull was killed at 15 months and 25 days, weighed 415kg dead, graded a U=,3+ and made €1,453.

August 2019: Members of Bandon beef discussion group visited the farm in August 2019. Shaun Diver briefs them on the grazing management on the farm. The farm hosts discussion group visits all year round.

September 2019: David Coen of Sheep Ireland recording the age, liveweight, body condition score and dag score of mule ewe lambs on Tullamore Farm. In a new veture with Sheep Ireland in 2019, a lot more data is now being collected on the ewe flock

October 2019: Tullamore Farm held its annual in-calf heifer sale on 28 October. This heifer sold for €1,760 at the sale. Tag number: 372226830880161. Lot number: 14. Date served: 4 May. Bull: LM2014, Ewdenvale Ivor (AI Limousin).

November 2019: Tullamore Farm hosted a group of Egyptian and Algerian livestock importers. \ Claire Nash

November 2019: Breeding finished up in ewes in November. All ewes are raddled and this leaves management around feeding and lambing lambing a lot easier. \ Claire Nash
