A 48-year-old man has died following a farm accident in Co Wexford. The accident occurred on a farm in Adamstown at approximately 12 noon on Monday 16 December.

The Irish Farmers Journal understands that he was working on a construction project, extending a parlour, at the time of the accident. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been removed for a postmortem.

An Garda Síochána and the Health and Safety Authority are carrying out separate investigations into the accident.
