There will be heavy rain and strong winds across the country this weekend as a result of storm Dennis, with the northwest the worst area affected.
Met Éireann forecaster Rónán Darcy told the Irish Farmers Journal that storm Dennis will bring a lot of rain in the west and strong winds on Sunday.
“There will be strong winds on Saturday, stronger on Sunday, gusty in many areas. The whole country will be hit with rain and most areas will have strong winds.
“The centre of the storm will stay a few hundred kilometres to the northwest of Ireland,” he said.
