Raphoe livestock mart, Ballybofey and Stranorlar livestock mart, and Inishowen co-operative livestock mart have called off their sales as the coronavirus situation continues to develop.
Inishowen Livestock Mart told the Irish Farmers Journal that Monday's sale was cancelled to protect the health and wellbeing of its customers and employees.
"The mart will review this decision for future sales and advise customers that further updates will be circulated as the week progresses," a spokesperson said.
In a statement on social media, Raphoe mart said all three marts would be postponed until further notice.
In other marts around the country, preparations have been made to comply with the latest guidelines from the HSE. These include asking sellers to remain in their vehicle until their animals are in the ring, restricting numbers in the mart to a maximum of 100, and asking vulnerable groups not to attend sales.
