Advisory firm EY will this week present Irish dairy co-ops with a draft report of its independent assessment of the Irish dairy industry’s exposure to COVID-19, including the potential loss of processing capacity and the financial impact of market disruption. Co-ops plan to show this report to the Government and the European Commission to illustrate the extent of the costs faced by processors in the hope they will provide supports for the dairy sector.
