Aurivo continued the trend of co-ops holding their May milk prices after announcing an unchanged price of 28.5c/l excluding VAT on Friday.
The average pay-out for milk supplied to the western co-op in May will be 30c/l excluding VAT.
An Aurivo spokesperson said: “COVID-19 continues to impact global powder and bulk butter markets, however our Irish retail milk and butter is not as badly impacted.
“Aurivo board and management are monitoring global markets closely and highlight that maintaining this level of return in coming months will be challenging under current market conditions.”
