The removal of Synulox from the market has at times led to a scarcity of alternative antibiotic-based mastitis treatments in veterinary practices.
A new statement released by the HPRA acknowledges this fact and states that in the interests of animal welfare it is now permitting the interim supply of limited quantities of Synulox LC tubes.
