Weanling bulls
Weanling bulls weighing 200kg to 300kg averaged €2.74/kg, while the top-third of animals averaged €3.12/kg. The general range was between €2.65/kg and €3.00/kg, with an April-born Charolais weighing 285kg making €850 (€2.98/kg) while a 275kg April born Angus made €740 (€2.69/kg).
In the 300kg to 400kg weight range, the average price paid was also €2.74/kg, while the top-third achieved an average price of €3.15/kg, with €3.59/kg paid for a March-born Charolais weighing 345kg (€1,240). Really good quality Charolais and Limousin lots were demanding the top prices.
A smaller number of weanling bulls in the 400kg to 450kg weight bracket averaged €2.32/kg and up to €2.42/kg for a March-born Charolais weighing 425kg (€1,030).
This April born Charolais weanling bull weighed 285kg and sold for €850 (€2.98/kg).
This Limousin cross weanling bull born in April weighed 310kg and sold for €800 (€2.58/kg).
This April born Limousin cross weanling bull weighed 330kg and sold for €750 (€2.27/kg).
This April born Angus weanling bull calf weighed 275kg and sold for €740 (€2.69/kg).
