Schumacher

Since this documentary on seven-time Formula One (F1) winner Michael Schumacher landed on Netflix recently, it has garnered a lot of interest.

Through exclusive interviews and achieve footage, this feature-length documentary traces the life of Schumacher.

The Netflix Original begins with Schumacher’s first F1 race for Jordan, covering his subsequent move to Benetton and then Ferrari.

It was made with the full co-operation of his family; his wife Corinna appears in it.

Schumacher receded from public life after sustaining injuries in a skiing accident in 2013.

Downton Abbey

When period drama Downton Abbey was first released on the box, it made quite a splash. Now all six series are on Netflix.

Perfect for someone looking for a series to binge (or take your time, whichever).

Downton Abbey is a British historical drama. Not based on a true story, it tells of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants.

The series begins with the sinking of the Titanic, which leaves the estate without an heir.

Squid Game

This new series has been a prominent feature on Netflix’s most-watched list the last couple of days.

Now, it comes with a warning - it’s by no means for the fainthearted.

While its description of depicting a group of cash-strapped people who accept an invitation to play children’s games for money may sound harmless, there’s a lot of blood, death and violence.

However, that said, it’s suspenseful and you certainly won’t be bored. Think of it in a similar way to The Hunger Games. It’s certainly worth a look if you don’t mind the goriness.

Bohemian Rhapsody

If you haven’t seen Bohemian Rhapsody, then you probably should.

This biopic charts Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury’s tumultuous rise to fame.

It starts just before Freddie (who was then still going by his birth name Farrokh Bulsara) meets his bandmates-to-be and forms Queen.

It follows the band's meteoric rise to fame and their ability to push boundaries in music, as well as Freddie’s personal struggles.

Of course, it also features Queen’s famous Band Aid performance.
