Barry’s Tea has launched the We Make the Tea, You Make the Art campaign to showcase up-and-coming Irish artists and thank Barry’s Tea fans. The campaign encouraged artists to submit Barry’s Tea fan art with the chance of winning a range of prizes. The winning art will be turned into a limited-edition sweatshirt and will also be used in Barry’s Tea social media campaigns. The winner will receive a cash prize of €1,000 and prizes will also be awarded for second and third place.
To celebrate the campaign, Barry’s Tea collaborated with artist Claire Prouvost to create artwork inspired by Ireland’s love of tea. The art was turned into limited-edition sweatshirts, which are now sold out.
Claire’s design is called Homecoming and can be interpreted as a mother and daughter or two friends enjoying a cup of tea at the kitchen table.
Speaking at the campaign launch, Claire said: “The We Make the Tea, You Make the Art competition is the perfect opportunity for new and up and coming artists to showcase their work while gaining incredible exposure.”
