August craft month celebrates Ireland’s rich craft heritage, the craftspeople keeping ancient traditions alive and new talented makers, with 400 events taking place right across the country.
Over the past few weeks, workshops, exhibitions, open studios, demos, festivals and more have provided unique opportunities for people to get involved as well as supporting makers by buying products and learning more about their work. This is an initiative brought together by a partnership of Design and Crafts Council Ireland, Craft NI and Cork Craft and Design. There are still a number of events running into September; some are free, some are ticketed.
