After pulling out of the IFA presidential race to focus on becoming deputy, Nigel Renaghan has secured his first nomination.
Renaghan is a Monaghan poultry farmer and is chair of the IFA poultry committee. He needs the support of five more counties along with Monaghan to secure the nomination for deputy.
Renaghan told the Irish Farmers Journal earlier in the month that he had five counties supporting him for his presidential push and intimated that he had already received support for his new bid as deputy.
