Thanks to the power of social media the stolen John Deere 6420s tractor with front loader has been reunited with its owner.
Guiry had reported the theft to the gardaí and said the only trace of the tractor had been “images on CCTV here and there”, but there was no indication of its whereabouts.
The tractor was recovered on Saturday last, a week after it went missing.

“I got it back on Saturday night. Through desperation I asked a co-worker would he put a post on Facebook. One man said he has spotted it.
“We found it abandoned, hidden in overgrowth. It’s a bit damaged but it’s more or less intact.”
The tractor was found only a few miles away from where Guiry farms in Old Parish, Dungarvan.
