With Monday's farm council focusing on the proposed trade agreement with Mercosur South American countries and further measures to address the crisis on dairy and other commodity markets, we look back at the proposals put forward by Joe Healy, Henry Burns and Flor McCarthy at the Irish Farmers Journal live broadcast debate on 1 April.

The assembly was held on Thursday 31 October in the Laois County Council chambers to present a certificate of recognition to the Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) president.
Serious reservations were made by local farmers last year when it was announced that the three-day music and arts festival would take place two weekend's earlier than usual.
