A 53ac block of land with a large shed is on the market in east Cork. The land is at Ballymackibbot, near Killeagh. It’s for sale from CCM by private treaty and the asking price is €600,000 to €650,000.

The location is 6km from Killeagh, 13km from Youghal and 17km from Midleton. The farm is all in permanent pasture and laid out in three main fields. It is well fenced and has been rented out for the last few years and kept in good condition. A farm road runs through the land, giving good access to the fields.

These are the sheds on the farm at Ballymackibbot.

The holding was previously a dairy farm. The sheds in the yard include a cubicle house, a seven-bay hayshed with lean-to. The vacuum pump is still in place beside the old parlour. Water and electricity are laid on. Éamon O’Brien, general manager of CCM Property, said that the land is suitable for grass or tillage and has no waste. The holding may be sold in two separate lots as there are two entrance points from the local public road. Lot one is 20ac and lot two is 33ac with the farmyard.

An offer of €500 ,000 has been made for the land.
