Three medium-sized parcels are up for auction in Munster at the end of the month. Spread throughout the province, the farms in question range from 37 to 58 acres and the land type of each would be similar, in so far as most farms are good grazing land with a small proportion of rougher grazing.

The 58ac residential farm at Rathmoley, Killenaule, Co Tipperary, has an old single-story dwelling with outbuildings in need of renovation.

Tipperary

First to go under the hammer is a 58-acre residential holding at Rathmoley, Killenaule, Co Tipperary. Guided at €390,000, over half the land can be described as good quality with the remainder more marginal in type. The single-storey residence has not been lived in for some time and requires renovation.

The presence of multiple outbuildings alongside it offer potential, while a large hay barn with lean-to is within the yard. All the land is in one block and is currently in grass. There is also extensive road frontage. Clonmel-based auctioneers, PF Quirke & Co Ltd are offering this property for auction at their offices at 44 Gladstone St, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, at 12pm on 22 October.

Limerick

We head west for the next farm to go up for auction, to Adare, where John Giltinane of John Giltinane & Associates are bringing a 37-acre non-residential property to the market. Located at Cloongownagh, Kilmoreen, Adare, Co Limerick, it is less than 5km from Adare and Kildimo. All in one block, these lands range in quality from top-quality land to rough grazing grounds. Twenty-seven acres of the land would be described as good quality with another seven acres in need of a bit of work, while the balance is suitable for rough grazing. This farm is guided at €250,000. The property also has the benefit of a dwelling house which is now in need of renovation but may offer the prospect of planning permission. There is also a yard and outbuildings. The guide price for this farm is €500,000.
