Dale Farm has cut its October milk price by 0.25p/l to a base of 24.25p/l. Once the co-op’s 0.3p/l loyalty bonus is applied, in addition to its 2p/l winter bonus payable on all milk delivered during the three-month period from October to December, suppliers of Dale Farm are effectively on an “all-in” base price of 26.55p/l.

So far, Dale Farm is the only milk processor in Northern Ireland to cut its milk price for October. On Wednesday, Lakeland and Strathroy Dairies both held on a base of 24.5p/l.

However, Strathroy pays a 1p/l winter bonus on top of its base price for October milk, bringing it to 25.5p/l. Lakeland pays a winter bonus on November and December milk.

Glanbia Milk/Fivemiletown also left its base price unchanged on 24.75p/l for October, leaving Glanbia Cheese and Aurivo to still declare for last month.
