Farmers who received letters on Monday relating to an update of their current compliance with the Beef Exceptional Aid Measure (BEAM) are being advised to ignore this letter due to incorrect calculations being used.

The Department of Agriculture states that an IT glitch resulted in the incorrect figures being used to calculate a herd’s compliance and, as such, the update does not deliver an accurate position of the herd’s current compliance.

The Department states that a text message will issue this afternoon to all producers with a mobile number recorded on their system and that correct letters will issue on Tuesday morning and be sent in Tuesday’s post.
