Tuam auctioneer Martin Tyrrell has confirmed the sale of three farms in the wider Galway catchment. One was 30ac at Castlefarm, Dunmore with a spacious six-bedroom house. The house is up to date and in very good condition. The property sold for €424,000.

He has also finalised the sale of 80ac of land at Woodford, with joint agents Tuohy Auctioneers. The land was sold to a number of local farmers for a total of €530,000, or an average €6,625/ac. There is no residence on the holding.

Sale agreed in Mayo

Tyrell is also sale agreed on a 17ac holding at Kilmain, Co Mayo.

This property has a house and outbuildings. The price has not been disclosed.

Tuam land for sale

Tyrrell is now offering two pieces of land near Tuam. One is eight acres at Urracly, Cloghans Hill. The land has access to the main Tuam road. It is being guided at €7,000/ac. “It’s good-quality land and would suit neighbouring farmers,” Martin said.

He is also offering nine acres at Brown’s Grove, Tuam. The holding is in one block. It has some road frontage and, he says, is good land. The location is 15 minutes from Tuam and the guide price is €7,000/ac.
