Kuhn has just taken the wraps off the new Multi-Longer GII 7457 E-TPAL, its longest-reach hedge cutter and the first to date with a telescopic arm.

The new machine offers a fully extended horizontal range of 7.4m, with a maximum vertical height of 8.4m.

Kuhn says it designed the Multi-Longer GII 7457 E-TPAL to meet the needs of the professional operator.

Straight-arm configuration

It features a parallelogram pivot-mounted straight-arm configuration and a heavy-duty frame, with the main boom constructed of high-yield steel.

With a 57hp hydraulic motor and a 21kW air-cooled radiator with double heat exchanger, Kuhn says this machine has a recommended annual use of up to 1,500 hours per year.

As with other models in the Kuhn range, the Multi-Longer GII has a 1.2m reinforced belt drive flail head as standard, with 240-degree flail head rotation.

There is also the option of a 1.5m flail head with hydraulic roller.

The hedge cutter comes equipped with a four-function joystick with electric proportional control, with a range of features including ground following aided by hydro-pneumatic lift control.

The GII 7547 E-TPAL features Kuhn’s Stabi-Link quick-hitch axle mounting as standard.

This offers increased stability, as well as faster mounting and uncoupling. Kuhn says this hedge and verge cutter is recommended for use on tractors with a minimum of 120hp and 6.5t in weight.
