After a few months of hard work and dedication, we are delighted to officially announce the launch of our brand new Macra na Feirme website.

This new website aims to support greater interaction online, with more online services expected to be added later this year. This will include access to an online member area for all of our members.

“We were really excited for our new website to go live and see how our members engaged with it. In the current pandemic, we’ve all been forced online even more, so we wanted to ensure our website was fit for purpose and user-friendly for our members,” Macra national president Thomas Duffy said.

“We wanted something that, once we return to ‘normality’, is still a useful and relevant resource for our members.” On the website you can:

  • Check out and register upcoming Macra events in your local area.
  • Find your local club and sign up to become a member.
  • Keep up to date with all Macra news.
  • Discover details of upcoming events, competitions and opportunities.
  • Book into Skillnet Training courses.
  • See what our rural youth and agricultural affairs sub-committees are working on.
  • Purchase Macra merchandise, including our 75th Anniversary Book – Macra na Feirme: a History in Pictures.
  • Our main goal in launching this new website is to provide our members, potential members and partners with a more intuitive and user-friendly experience that clearly states who we are, what we stand for and the many benefits of becoming a part of our organisation.

    New features

A new feature to the website is a member’s spotlight, where we highlight our members and why they believe people should get involved with the organisation.

We will be constantly updating our content with upcoming events and opportunities, along with our latest news articles, but you can also sign up to our newsletter on the website to get updates straight to your email.

The Macra website also links to the Macra Agricultural Skillnet’s new website, where you can browse the training brochure and book into upcoming courses.

The website features a refreshed look, improved navigation and a handful of features which will make the overall experience more impactful on desktop, mobile and tablet, as well as accessible for all.
