Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for Connacht, Donegal and Clare. The weather warning is valid from 10pm on Saturday.

Met Éireann has warned that Saturday night will become very windy and for a time on Sunday morning.

Winds will be south to southwesterly and will reach speeds of 50km/h to 65km/h. Gusts of up to 90km/h to 110km/h are also expected.

The warning will remain in place until 8am on Sunday.
